Dust on paper

This series utilizes gravity and time to create ethereal works on paper. Paper is placed and left untouched for an indeterminate amount of time, until the image "developed" by the dust becomes vivid. Gradually the dust builds up, in what is effectively a hands-off process of creation. The slow formation of the image over time is akin to the development of a photograph. No fixatives are used to adhere the dust to the paper. The prolonged formation encapsulating time itself, results not in a durable, ever-lasting piece, but instead a work of great delicacy and fragility.
