In our developed world we are constantly being directed by cultural, religious, scientific and corporate institutions. As we get accustomed to this sense of direction from childhood by following prevailing measures by “normal” we often go on with our lives without ever experiencing the absence of direction, without this profound notion of freedom.
Are we ever truly free from the directions in our choices?
How free are we really?
Contemplating on these questions I started making works that claim no such intention of direction. You left with your own interpretation - I intend no particular meaning, neither any particular way of seeing the artwork, in contrast, work encourages a “spark” initiating the personal unique imagination and the opportunity to participate and to co-create.
