Concrete Suprematism, 2009
This series of works examines the meaning of negation and absence. Concrete casts of blister packages are made in the tradition of Malevich’s Suprematism as works of abstract geometric art. The very functional packages become abstractions, losing the meaning they once had, and gaining an all-encompassing meaning they were never meant to have.
